About PrTMS

Brain arrhythmia™ is believed by some to be the underlying cause of many mental health symptoms and conditions. However, millions of Americans with diagnosed mental and physical health challenges related to brain function are subject to therapies that provide symptom management only, with limited options to treat the root cause of their conditions.

PrTMS is Designed to:

  • Correct brainwave disruptions

  • Personalize TMS delivery for each patient

  • Incorporate analysis of patient biometric data to construct an image of neuronal communication activity

  • Allow for the creation of a neuromodulation plan tailored specifically to each patient that is verified and approved by a qualified PrTMS® provider

Why Personalization Matters

You would not prescribe the same dose or even the same drug to every patient — even if they had the same symptoms or condition. The same should be true with TMS therapy. However, with conventional TMS, essentially the same therapy is delivered to every patient — regardless of their condition, circumstance, or degree of brainwave frequency disturbance.

Normal brainwave frequencies range from 8 to 12 hertz, with the exact number varying from individual to individual. Conventional TMS therapy often takes a one-size-fits-all approach by seeking to align patients to the average – about 10 hertz. In contrast, PrTMS® therapy is designed to align brainwaves to the patient’s personal optimal frequency.

EEG (Electroencephalogram)

In the field of mental health, neurocognitive tests are the standard for evaluating how patients feel and respond to treatment. While this is key subjective data, PrTMS® goes further to also collect electroencephalogram (EEG) brainwave activity data for an objective look at how a patient’s brain is functioning. Along with neurocognitive test data, irregularities in cortical activity detected with EEGs are analyzed to inform treatment.

PrTMS for Autism

Utilizing rTMS, magnetic waves are used to gently stimulate targeted areas of the brain to improve connectivity and function.

PrTMS for Depression

PrTMS is indicated to treat patients with major depressive disorder who have not responded to antidepressants.

PrTMS for Addictions

PrTMS using TMS is a treatment of psychoactive substance use disorder in adult patients.

PrTMS for Brain Injuries

PrTMS can help identify and treat areas of the brain that have slowed down or sped up due to repetitive head trauma and sleep deprivation.

The Process

STEP 1

PeakInput™

EEG and Patient Neurocognitive Data Collection

PeakInput™ is a functional measurement process that evaluates a patient’s brain health.

The EEG device takes a recording in less than 5 minutes - without the use of wires or gels. It simultaneously records activity in 19 different functional regions of the brain that controls different activities, emotions, and skills. This provides objective, quantitative brain function data, which is used to create a dose - optimized treatment plan.

Neurocognitive tests and diagnostic surveys are also administered, based on patient symptoms and according to the physician’s clinical judgement. This provides key qualitative data that can be used in conjunction with the EEG results to evaluate and monitor patient progress.

STEP 2

PeakLogic® Tx™

Quantitative and Qualitative Data Analysis

The results of the biometric data collected in step 1 help reveal a complete picture of a patient’s brain health.

A PrTMS® treatment plan designed to restore brain wave synchronicity is then generated - tailored specifically to that patient’s unique brain mapping. This treatment plan is verified and approved by a qualified PrTMS® provided before being implemented.

STEP 3

PrTMS®

Therapy Delivery

PrTMS® therapy is delivered to the patient according to the treatment protocol developed in step 2.

The PeakInput™ reassessment process is repeated approximately once every 5 wessions to allow the PrTMS® to monitor patient response to treatment and optimize therapy.

Treatment therapy is given 5 days per week and typically takes a minimum of 40-60 treatments to achieve peak performance. Patients remain on treatment according to the physician’s medical judgement.
